Inside the Duomo of Monza is the Zavattari chapel, where the Iron Crown is preserved. It was made in the Early Middle Ages, consisting of a circlet of gold fitted around a central iron band, which according to legend was beaten out of a nail of the True Cross.

Many others masterworks are preserved in the museum of the Duomo, among which the Cross of Agilulfo and the Crown of Teodolinda.

Some works by Lucio Fontana and Luciano Minguzzi are kept in the section dedicated to the XIX and XX centuries.
